A new dimension
I have always believed that Riverside was a great place to live — equal distance from mountains and ocean. What’s not to love?? However, this campaign has given me so much more than I could ever have expected. It was a lot of working (they don’t call it “running a campaign” for nothing.) but meeting the people, shaking hands, walking neighborhoods was an experience I have only the tremendous people of Riverside County to thank for. As we look forward to the election results tonight I looked back on some of the events I shared with you — The Neighborhood Bash, The Chili Cookoff, The Palm Springs Flower Drop, Cinco de Mayo celebrations, Juneteenth, NAACP Achievement Awards, Taste of the Valley, Cherry Festival, and Tribute to Heroes. The places I visited — packing houses and businesses in Coachella Valley, Settlement House, The African-American Cultural Museum, and homes and restaurants, will forever be fond memories and shape the way I view our County. Thank you again for your outstanding support, your graciousness when I spoke, your enthusiasm for building a better County, and all the effort you put into improving yourselves and your surroundings…It is you that makes Riverside County the special and spectacular place it is.
