The Rites of Fall

It’s almost October.  Young people are back in school, we’re looking for cooler temperatures, and certain activities are taking a lot of our attention.  Football and soccer are weekend rituals even as baseball turns to its finals in the World Series;  homecomings and homework require planning and foresight; holidays are “around the corner” at least in many stores;  And ELECTION day is drawing near.  Look carefully at your candidates — don’t let blind statistics blur your vision and your reason.  Ask WHY, HOW, and WHAT?  Only by holding candidates accountable will we maintain control of our government.  There are some races that are going to be very interesting — the Riverside County Auditor-Controller race is one:  Here we have two candidates — one a CPA with little government experience, no quantifiable management experience, and no real buy-in to Riverside County; and the other a seasoned government financial manager with tested management skills IN Riverside County who has lived here for most of his life and has dedicated his professional career to the betterment of County government.  Don’t be fooled by an unused certification look to the real thing to make the County strong.  I’m going to vote for Ivan Chand for Riverside County Auditor-Controller.  I believe in his person, his platform, and his foresight.

  1. I would like to exchange links with your site http://www.jquinonesriverside.com
    Is this possible?

I’d need to know a lot more about how that works before committing. I appreciate your interest in my site but the site is politically educating and motivational so I’m not clear how that would work off another site.
