Leadership
Leadership is the ability to influence behavior, ideas, and beliefs regardless of authority or seniority.
We all know of people within the workplace, neighborhood, classroom, or other gatherings who demand our attention without asking for it. These are people that we will stop and listen to and emulate their ideas and actions. Often these are people who create action by their very presence and accomplish tasks that otherwise seem impossible to the common man.
The Auditor for the County of Riverside needs to be the type of leader who encourages not only Auditor-Controller staff but other elected officials and the general public to be better at all they do.
As Auditor I am committed to being present in the office on all working days and available to the public and staff through electronic media as well as physically. It is my intention to develop a quarterly communication with the public that would both keep the electorate engaged and enlightened as to the status of their local government especially in these difficult times.
