Responsibility

Responsibility is basically the ability to respond.  That response may be to a body of people, to a crisis, to an area of neglect, to an occassion of plenty.  It is communicating to effect an appropriate answer to whatever the situation or circumstance is.

The Auditor is responsible to the you, the voters, to safeguard your resources and to ensure your government is performing to your needs and expectations as outlined through your elected officials and adopted budget document.

As Auditor I plan to maintain an open forum of communication with you, the voter, but also to encourage communication and review of activities and projects by the Auditor’s office with the support of the Board of Supervisors and other elected officials.  Especially in these difficult economic times it is vital that you have a voice in government that answers to your questions as it pertains to spending of resources.  The Auditor is that voice.  I want to be that voice to you and for you.
